This is the most effective option to whiten teeth. The procedure is offered at Glen Valley and is completed in one appointment. This is also the most convenient whitening option, since patients can whiten all at once rather than traditional at– home custom trays or whitening strips that can take up to 3 weeks. This is particularly beneficial to those who use staining products daily, such as, coffee, cigarettes or dark pop, since when whitening, for best result, no staining agents should be used or consumed at least 72 hours following the whitening process. The appointment itself is about 90 minutes and consists of prepping the teeth for the whitening and having the whitening light over the teeth for (3) fifteen minute cycles. Results vary, but typically teeth will whiten with zoom 5-9 shades. As a bonus, for Glen Valley patients, we offer custom trays at no charge to use for any future touch up whitening that may or may not be needed over time.
